Jason Dolence

1. What made you join Midtown Movement & Medicine?

The wholistic approach to fitness is what originally drew me to Midtown. As a former endurance athlete, it was important for me to find a gym/community who invest their time in the other areas of fitness like recovery, nutrition and overall health maintenance. Also doesn’t hurt that I live down the street.

2. What are your favorite and least favorite moves/exercises in the gym?

I’m a fan of big lifts like squats, power cleans and bench press and absolutely despise thrusters or any ab work! 🙂 

3. And what keeps you motivated?

Motivation is hard to come by but remaining disciplined and seeing positive incremental results are what keep me coming back. I have to remind myself that Rome wasn’t built overnight!!! Like many other things in life, consistent efforts lead to big, big results!

2. What is your favorite move in the gym?

Deadlift

My favorite is bench press and my least favorite is box jumps.

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

Be the best version of myself everyday.

Erin Westberry

1. Why did you decide to join Midtown Medical Gym?

I decided to join Midtown when my old gym closed. It was welcoming and comfortable right away; I love the people! And I appreciate the well-rounded approach to health & fitness.

2. What is your favorite move in the gym?

My favorite move in the gym is the one toward the giant fan. 

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

I love any type of clean and I most definitely do NOT love burpees.

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

My only goal is to stay active! I love feeling strong and capable. Stringing together bar muscle-ups would be nice, too. (:

1. Why did you decide to join Midtown Medical Gym?

To stay fit and workout beside my friends.

2. What is your favorite move in the gym?

Dead lifts are fun. 

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

I enjoy weights and honestly, I can’t think of anything I do not like. 

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

My health is important and getting to workout along side good people is excellent. They keep me in check.

AMBER COLLINS

1. Why did you decide to join Midtown Medical Gym?

I joined Midtown because I was looking for a community that was supportive and encouraging

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

My favorite moves in the gym are deadlifts and rope climbs

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

My favorite form of exercise is anything cardio, except the bike! I’d do anything but the bike. My least favorite exercise is overhead squats

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

Goals in general are to listen to what my coaches and therapist are telling me, in order to help me improve and reach my goals. More focus on intuitive eating for nutrition, instead of ‘diets’ and restricting calories/foods. Basically – trust the process!

1. Why did you decide to join Midtown Medical Gym?

When I found Midtown Movement, it felt like home. The trainers and coaches are excellent. 

2. What is your favorite move in the gym?

I hang upside down before my workouts to stretch and assist with mobility. 

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

I love anything cardio besides running. I hate running. Row machines, bike, anything cardio basically.

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

Stay consistent! I go to the gym every day and it doesn’t get easier when you get older so staying on top of it is key.

I was looking for a team to help me work on my striking

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

My hard work and consistency has been easy with such a supportive team

Deadlifts, for sure

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

I am working on getting in better shape before I go to train to be a wrestler like in WWE

When my old CrossFit gym closed, I looked around for a new place to call home. When I found Midtown Movement, I knew where I belonged

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

I ripped my pants within the first week haha, does that count?

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

I’m all about the ropes. Flipping tires, not so much but I still do it

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

Stay fit and healthy for my son

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

So far I’ve lost 9 pounds and counting since I started and I’m new to the gym

Favorite – The Wall Ball, Least – Lunging

Keep up the pace and continue my health journey

Just being able to push myself further each day

I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle and lose 100 lbs.

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

Losing 100lbs over the last ~20 months and becoming a CrossFit trainer.

Favorite – Overhead Press, Least – Running

Continue to improve as an athlete and coach.

1. Why did you decide to join Midtown Medical Gym?

 I decided to join midtown medical because I was ready to make a change to become healthier.

2. What has been your most memorable achievement since becoming a member?

My most memorable achievement since becoming a member is when I performed strict ring muscle up.

3. Most favorite and least favorite exercises?

My favorite exercise is a pull up. Least favorite would have to be overhead squats. 

4. Current goal in the gym or in life?

My goal is to continue with being consistent with my exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Midtown is the perfect place for me to do this because of all the support and motivation that the midtown crew provides!
